  • Dr Jacqueline Henshaw

    CHAIR OF TRUSTEES

    Jacqueline is currently the Senior Advisor to the President and Vice-Chancellor of Manchester University, having previously held the position of Head of the Office for over 24 years. She holds a PhD in Biology. 

    Through her senior role in an academic setting, she has honed her interpersonal skills and is an excellent mediator and moderator. Jacqueline has built an enviable reputation as a forensic analyst, quickly identifying issues, coming forward with solutions, and always providing a fair and balanced assessment.

    Jacqueline is passionate about dogs (pictured with Larkin, one of her spaniels).

  • Hilary Price

    TREASURER

    Hilary has had a 25 year career in the international insurance industry, where her role as an underwriter and broker took her around the world including six years in the US. More recently she has completed a Masters degree in Creative Writing, which she passed with distinction, and is now in the process of writing a novel.

    Her commercial, communication and organisational skills honed during her professional career and in her subsequent post-graduate studies combined with her competency in several European languages give her a comprehensive toolbox of transferable skills. She can be relied upon for her common sense approach and ability to cut straight to the heart of an issue.

    In her free time, Hilary enjoys running, creative writing and spending time in the outdoors with her daughter and two dogs.

  • Sue Holland

    SECRETARY

    Sue started her career in sales and  marketing, working for 8 years in a multi-national chemical company in the UK, Japan and the USA, before moving into international development for the next 30 years. Sue has worked in communication with Freeplay Foundation as a Business Development Manager, in Namibia as a Country Director for Population Services International in HIV prevention and management and for the NHS in Ealing, Harrow and Brentford in business development for community services. She has worked for longest period of time with MSI Reproductive Choices, where she was MSI’s Regional Director for West and Central Africa for several years before taking up her current role as the Global Director for People and Culture.

    Sue has an MBA from LBS and an MPH from LSHTM.

    In her spare time, Sue is an active member of a rowing club and enjoys spending time with her family.

  • Kiera Keesing

    TEACHER

    Kiera has been a primary school teacher for five years after graduating from the University of Dundee in 2020. She was introduced to the Share the Chores pilot programme in 2024.

    Kiera’s experience of delivering Share the Chores lessons allowed her to witness first hand, the children’s attitude change in gender equitable sharing of chores in the home.

    She is committed to working with Equal at Home as a volunteer, and has been instrumental in adapting lessons to suit the needs of the learners and developing teaching guides. Her role as an educator is invaluable to the success of Dundee Primary School project.

    In her spare time, Kiera can be found walking her labrador Hamish and taking part in musical theatre productions.

  • Dr Gayathri Gunatilake

    LECTURER IN ACCOUNTING, ABERTAY UNIVERSITY

    Gayathri is currently a lecturer in Accounting at Abertay University, having previous teaching experience in Universities in Sri Lanka, New Zealand and England over 18 years. She holds a PhD in accounting from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Gayathri is also a Chartered Management Accountant.

    Further to her academic experiences, Gayathri has held various university administrative positions throughout her career. Gayathri’s research interests focus on critical perspectives in accounting, including the role of accounting in organisations and society, accounting history and dialogic accounting and accountability.

    Gayathri is a badminton player and plays in the Dundee Area Badminton League. In her free time, Gayathri enjoys hiking, playing the piano and listening to classical music.

  • Ria MacIver

    PRO BONO TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT

    Ria is a finance student at Abertay University with a keen interest in community engagement and social impact. Through her involvement with Equal at Home, she has embraced a unique opportunity that has allowed her to feel more connected and involved within the city.

    This experience has not only enriched her personal growth but also complemented her academic journey by fostering a deeper understanding of collaborative and inclusive initiatives.

  • Charlotte Slade

    PRO BONO TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT

    Charlotte is an Accounting and Finance student at Abertay University, set to graduate in 2026. Charlotte joined the team as a volunteer to give accounting advice back in late 2024.

    Being involved in a charity like Equal at Home has meant a great deal to Charlotte, as she has been able to feel more connected to the Dundee community and contribute to addressing gender equality.

    In her free time, she enjoys reading and watching films, particularly those featuring cute cats.
