Share the Chores School Tool Kit makes it simple to help children learn about gender equality in a way that is fun, engaging, relevant, impactful, and can cause a measurable shift in attitudes.

Pupils explore how gender inequality can exist in their own homes.

This exciting new teaching programme was successfully trialled and immediately adopted by the 3 pilot primary schools. Read more about the case study.

I’m Kiera and a Dundee Primary School teacher. I’ve been teaching in Dundee primary schools for 5 years. In 2024, I became involved with the pilot to trial Share the Chores School Tool Kit with my P4 class. I was interested in the idea of addressing gender equality in the home as it tied in with other topic areas we were studying, including stereotypes and my family.  After hearing that more gender equality in the home equals less domestic violence and abuse, it deepened my interest.
